(8/29/2010)
Just returned from La Crosse WI where I played "Michigan" and "Kiss Me Crazy" as one of twelve finalists in the Great River Folk Festival Songwriting Contest. I had a great time sharing my music with song-loving folks.

(8/14/2010)
Just joined the Minnesota Association of Songwriters and I have played my first songwriter's showcase. It was pretty cool to play some of my new songs for an audience. I play another one next Saturday (8/21) and I am really looking forward to it.

I also have been cast in a new musical called "Vampires, Horror!" with Table Salt Productions. It looks like a lot of fun. More details when rehearsals start...

The new album "Fountains of Etcetera is finally done! I am very happy with the results and the process was a real growth experience for me. The songs were a joy to write and arrange and I had the help of John Dote in Las Vegas for production of two of them (500 Pound Gorilla and Singing My Heart Out). And of course Steve Garrigan once again supplied lovely lead vocals on another (Brace Yourself).

(11/9/2009)

Returned from a few days in Las Vegas and used some of my time there to work with a new friend, John Dote who is a producer there. We recorded two of my newest songs in his studio and I am very happy with the results. These two songs ("500 Pound Gorilla" and "Singing My Heart Out") will be on the new CD! Thanks to John for his wonderful guidance and expertise and for making my experience top-notch! Let's see, that's 7 songs recorded now and just a couple more to go, then "Fountains of Etcetera" will be ready!

Just finished loading the video for "One More Pitch" to YouTube and what a sweet song! The video turned out very nicely and Phil likes it too. Also just finished a new lyric for the new CD... that's 8 songs written and 3 others started, so the whole thing should start taking real shape soon.

(9/21/2009)

Working on a music video with a friend of mine, Phil Bolta. A couple of years ago he wrote a sweet lyric about his close relationship with his daughter and asked me to set it to music, which I gladly did. He is now a published author and has a very busy blog. He asked if I was interested in creating a music video to go with the song for him to post on his blog. The song is called "One More Pitch". I have finished a new arrangement and the re-recording and now I can put together the video. I am having a great time discovering this lovely song all over again.

The Minnesota Fringe Festival is done and it was a blast! The show was very well received and the cast and production staff were fantastic! Now back to some new music...

(8/1/2009)

The Fringe is here and I am working with a great cast and director and a really funny play!

I have not had as much time to work on the music for the new album lately, but it is coming along....

(6/19/2009)

I was just cast as George in a production of Christopher Durang's "The Actor's Nightmare" for the Minnesota Fringe Festival in August at Intermedia Arts in uptown. Rehearsals start right away!

(6/9/2009)

"Lye in the Water" opened and closed and it was a great experience. It was fairly well attended and the audiences seemed to enjoy it as well.

I continue to work on music for the new album and I am really pleased with how the new songs are shaping up.

(5/17/2009)

I am writing songs and recording a new album called "Fountains of Etcetera" which should be ready by the end of summer 2009.

I am in rehearsals for a new play written and directed by a very talented new creative friend. The play is called "Lye in the Water" and will play the first weekend in June 2009 at Old Arizona Studios in Minneapolis. This is a darkly humorous play set in the "armpit of nowhere".

I am auditioning for other things as I find them and will post if something happens.

I am re-writing a horror novel called "Not in This House".
